Introduction to Permian Basin

You probably don’t remember what shrub was over in the corner of the back yard where you grew up, but chances are you do remember the tree, especially if you climbed it or had a tree house in it. One of the reasons that we develop relationships with trees is simply that they live long enough for the relationship to develop. Many people believe that it goes back to the development of man and trees being a sanctuary from predators. At Tree Loving Care, we just know we love trees.

Tree Loving Care was founded in Lubbock in 1978 by James Tuttle as Tuttle Landscape Company. After a few years of designing, building and maintaining landscapes, and a few years as a nursery, both growing and selling trees and shrubs both wholesale and retail, we found that our favorite job was just maintaining trees. These other ventures were valuable experience and gave great insight into all aspects of the green industry. In 1994, to reflect the focus and evolution of the business, we changed our name to Tree Loving Care.

During all of these years, one thing has been just as constant as our love of trees and that is our commitment to providing old fashioned customer service. For all of these years, we have developed relationships with clients and their trees from Big Bend to Amarillo. When Oak Wilt was discovered in Midland, Tree Loving Care was there, when the historic grove of trees at Ft Davis was in desperate need of TLC, Tree Loving Care was there. Over a 4 year period in the 1990’s, we pruned all of the trees in Thompson Park in Amarillo.

Founder, James Tuttle, has been an ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) Certified Arborist since the inception of certification and for the first several years of certification, was the only Certified Arborist between Ft Worth and Albquerque. He served on the ISA/Texas board for 9 years and as President in 2003 and was selected as Texas Arborist of the Year in 2007.

It is this love of trees and dedication to customer service that makes us very proud to announce the opening of an office in Midland. This will allow us to better serve Permian Basin and far west Texas much better. Arboriculture is the art and science of the care of trees. At Tree Loving Care, we practice the art and study the science. If you have been looking for an arborist that loves your trees as much as you do, please give Tree Loving Care a call at (432)620-TREE. One of our Certified Arborists will be glad to set up an appointment with you to discuss all of your tree care needs.01.01.2012. 07:21
